Here's the flyer for Sacred Stone's Novice Tourney. A bit early
from the Acorn, but...

                             Novice Tourney
                       Barony of the Sacred Stone

                             May 10-12, 1996

To all kind Lords and Ladies does the Shire of Drachentor extend its warm
greetings and an invitation. We are again holding our Barony's Novice
Tourney, this time at Boy Scout Cherokee Camp in Yanceyville, NC.

For the fighters, there is the Novice Heavy and the Novice Rapier Tourneys,
to whose winners prizes shall be awarded. Later in the afternoon shall be
held an Open Tourney for all comers. Note that the Novice Heavy is restricted
to A) sword and shield, authorized two years or less, and B) any other 
weapon form, authorized one year or less. Novice Rapier is restricted to
fighters authorized two years or less.

There shall also be two Arts & Sciences competitions, one for adults and one
for children. The adult competition is for the best item on a Viking theme.
The children's competition shall be the best rendering of a Viking longboat
in a soap medium (materials will be supplied). Prizes shall be given to
these winners as well.

In the evening, after Her Excellency's Court, is the Feast. Any dietary
concerns must be discussed with the Feastcrats, although there will be a
vegetarian dish on hand. For Feast information contact:
