When we begin to have the same kinds of straw-man arguments here as on
the Rialto, perhaps we should re-think the way we communicate.
Seriously, I've seen an interesting division between the people who
think that a courteous public correction is OK and the people who
think that a private correction would have been best, but I haven't
seen anyone say that the matter should have been totally ignored in
public. I haven't seen any one state it as strongly as Henry puts it
above (and yes, I did read Giacomo's posting).
