{} Exactly so.  Consider, for example, what the end result would have been of
{} such behavior in period.

Do you mean, "Consider how history would have been different if there
had been such a thing as assassination at the time of Julius Caesar,
or Roger de la Flor, or Macbeth"?

{} I was writing to someone else, on another list, about the press, but I think
{} it fits here.  Behavior which uses other folks as background or as objects,
{} is impolite.  If your assasination game uses other folks as unwilling
{} backdrops, it may not be appreciated.

Come to think of it, a lot of people thought it was inapproriate recently
when postings urged heraldic display to make more colorful backdrops.

{} Not to mention all the heebie-jeebies people get with the moral dimension.

We are talking about _mock_ assassinations here, aren't we?
I certainly don't want _actual_ assassinations at events, but
then, I don't want an _actual_ duel to the utterance at Crown.
