I found it:
Dodds, J.D, ed., Al-Andalus: The Art of Islamic Spain. NY: Metropolitan
Museum , 1992.
Janet Arnold's pattern is in:
Costume. "The Pattern of a Caftan Said to Have Been Worn by Selim II
(1512-20)." London: Dept. of Textiles, Victoria and Albert Museum,
1967-68, n.1-2, pp. 63-66.
Also in Costume, 1991, n.25, is "Islamic Honorific Garments," by Patricia
L. Baker. This includes information ranging from the eigth to the seventh
centuries.
Someone asked for female garb references, here's something:
Y.K. Stillman, *Female Attire of Medieval Egypt...* PhD Thesis,
Pennsylvania, University Microfilms, 1979.
