reposting this from the rialto for those of you who don't care to wade
through hundreds of posts a day. *grin*  it made my day brighter in some
indefinable way; i hope it does the same for yours.

no matter the height of the coronet, the person wearing it is still truly
human, with all the usual fallibilities.  through their willingness to
reassess a bad situation, swallow their pride, and take action to rectify
it, the signatories of this post have shown themselves to be truly noble
(at least in my eyes)...  missives like this bolster my faith that the
spirit of honor and chivalry lives on.

Greetings Unto the Known World from Bjorn and Morgen, King and Queen of
the East, Edmund and Kateryn, King and Queen of the Midrealm, and Duchess
Anne de Fontaine:

We all recognize the emotions involved in the recent incidents at Pennsic
XXV, and that we may have overreacted to the situation. We have come to an
amicable understanding regarding these incidents and would make the
following resolutions:

I, Duchess Anne de Fontaine recognize that the forum and method I chose to
deliver my message of counsel was poorly chosen and I am sorry for any
offense given.

We, Bjorn, Morgen, Edmund, and Kateryn recognize the concerns Duchess Anne
has in regards to the Horde, recognize that it and its members are part of
the Society, apologize for any offense given, and will address her
concerns.

We, Bjorn and Morgen, hereby lift the Level 1 Banishment of Duchess Anne
de Fontaine.

We, Edmund and Kateryn, hereby lift the Level 2 Banishment of Duchess Anne
de Fontaine.
