It depends on where you are and when. If you were a subject of
the Roman Emperor ruling from Constantinople and you tried to
wear purple, his goon squad would come after you. If you were
a viking you could wear whatever you could make, buy, or steal.
The same is true for the Kingdom of Atlantia.
