Quoting from memory, the remark, "Kill them all, God will know his own"
was uttered during the Albigensian Crusade at the city of Beziers in
southern France.  

I read _Dungeon, Fire and Sword_ a number of years ago and there were a
number of claims that caused me to raise my eyebrows and say, "huh?".  I
wouldn't trust that book and I feel it's up there with _A Distant Mirror_,
fun reading but with fuzzy facts and questionable scholarship.

Joseph Strayer is a far more reliable source.
