more!!!!


			In the Trenches
		Kingdom Training Event for Field Personnel
	With Heraldic Symposium and Kitchen Practicum

OYEZ, OYEZ!!!  All fighters, marshals, heralds, chiurgeons, ministers of
the lists, and those who have an interest in these skills, pray attend! 
The Shire of Drachentor, in conjuction with the Earl Marshal, Triton
Principal Herald, Kingdom M.O.L. and Kingdom Chiurgeon, is hosting an
Atlantian Symposium for all field personnel to hone your skills.  there
will be tracks of classes in the morning for marshals, heralds, chiurgeons
and m.o.l.'s   At noon, we will adjourn to the field, where there will be
FIGHTING, FIGHTING, FIGHTING, beginning with a bear pit tournament!!! 
Different scenarios will be set up, including tourney, melee, war and
practice injuries.  We will all practice working together and seeing how
the other field disciplines work.  

Experienced fighters are needed to help test the trainees.  For those
heralds of soft voice, there will be some heraldry classes in the
afternoons as well

And for those whose chosen battlefield is the kitchen, Mistress Keilyn
FitzWarin will be leading a feast-cooking practicum. Learn the secrets of
menu-planning, budgeting, shopping, bulk food-production, and how to make a
feast both tasty and medieval.  The practicum will involve preparing the
evening's feast, so bring your aprons and your knives and come play in the
kitchen!!!

When:	Saturday, March 28th.  The site opens at 8;30.  Classes will run from
9am to 	11am.
Where:	Sacred Heart School, Danville, VA
Cost:	$6 per person.  Make checks payable to the Shire of Drachentor/SCA,
Inc. 	and send to the autocrat.  The cost includes feast - bring feast gear
please.  	FEAST IS LIMITED TO 100!  PLEASE RESERVE EARLY!!!  All who are 
interested in cooking, please let us know in advance.

Directions to site:

>From the North:	Take 29S to 29S Business Blairs/Danville.  Follow signs for
86S, cross over the Dan River, and turn left at the first traffic light.
>From the South:	Take 86N into Danville, past the hospital on the right, and
make a right at the next traffic light.  If you cross the river you've gone
too far.
Alternate South: Take 29N past 29N Business exit to the 86N exit.  Turn
left at the top of the ramp, go 2.7 miles and make a right at the 4th
traffic light.
>From the East or West: Take route 58 into Danville.  Follow signs to 86S. 
Cross the Dan River and make a left at the first light.
