RE: Acknowledgement (long winded? Maybe.)

Bull, yes you were singling him out. My question to you is if this did
happen at the Ren Fair why did you just pipe up with it now. You could have
jumped up off you butt then and spoken with all whom were involved. And
possibly done some good.

but apparently you did do nothing about it, at least at the time. Until
you put on armour and get authorized you won
?t understand. I have stepped
right when I should have gone left and gotten the mortal S@#$ knocked out
of me and it was my fault. This is a contact sport (or game I wont mince
words) people get hit and on a rare occasion people even get hurt. If you
are worried about getting hit with a stick there is always A&S, Rapier,
Archery and lots of other things to get involved in.

Again how would you know. That is sort of the point here people. It?s an
honor system and its up to the individual. If the blow is a telling blow
then I die. No one, not you, not my opponent, not my lady, and not one
spectator can tell me if it was good. That is for me to judge. If my
opponent hits me harder than necessary I simply say, after I die, in the
most pleasant fashion that I can muster at the time ?good shot, I?ll take
lighter next time?. Not once has that ever caused a problem, and in fact
most times the other fighter say opps I?m sorry.
One thing for you to keep in mind. When you are new you are not as good as
those who have been doing this for a few years. Sounds simple and matter
of fact but you?d be surprised how many people get disgruntled by loosing
many if their first tourneys. I still loose WAY more than I win, but I
don?t piss and moan, I practice, and a surprising thing has been happening
I don?t get hit as much anymore. Not bad for a one eyed Irish kid huh?
