Re: the sweating sickness



If memory serves, the sweating sickness was caused by an arbovirus (arthropd
borne), now happily extinct. It WAS a seroius concern in late medieval England
though. I've heard it specualted that it was this disease, not richard III, 
that killed the sons of Edward IV..  --Alianora
