Sorry I was unable to attend Crown...

     BROUGHT DOWN BY A CAT
     (AP Int'l.)

     -CHARLOTTE, NC

Jonathan Blackbow began his weekend with plans to journey to Virginia
and compete in Crown Tourney. However, being the softie that he is,
he was in his bedroom packing to leave when he heard the abysmally
pitiful cries of a kitten in distress.

Going outside his domicile, he managed to locate the sound coming from
a neighboring trailer a few feet away. The underpinning provided a
moment's resistance, which he gently but expediently yanked off the
trailer to let sunlight into a remote corner of the hovel.

Sticking his hand inside and hoping for the best, he clucked to
whatever was inside screaming its head off, and was rewarded (?) with
a glad-handing little orange kitten who nearly licked his hand off,
and then purred as loudly as a seven-week old kitten could all the way
     back to Jonathan's house.

Needless to say, Jonathan's lady was also a softie, and the couple
ended up staying in Charlotte to care for their new charge. Due to
his outgoing nature, the kitten has received the name "3PO" for his
resemblance, both in color and in demeanor, to a certain android in a
     certain science fiction film series.

Jonathan, upon deciding that he could not leave the new kitten to his
previous neighbor's tender mercies, let alone the capricious whim of
his two previous feline acquisitions, was heard to comment, "shortest
     fight I ever had..."

[seriously, guys, that's what happened. Sorry, Herveus; Janet REALLY
     wanted those letters...]

Here are the results of Crown Tourney, for those of you unable
to attend. Our new Prince is Logan Ebonwulfe and our new
Princess is Ariel of House Shadowolf. His Highness fought Count
Sir Kai in the finals. The first round was sword and sheild,
which His Highness won. This was followed by a second round of
Greatsword, in which Sir Kai was the victor. And lastly a third
round of sword and shield, in which Sir Kai lost 1st his left
arm, then his right. Finally, after informing Logan that he"
would not Surrender", he reiceved a blow to the head to end the
fight. Their Highnesses received Their coronets on the field.
It was a beautiful day, a wonderful site, and a extremly
chivalrous tourney.
                      In service,
                                 Bryce de Byram
