And diamonds, yes?

I have forgotten where the original stones came from that inspired the idea
for the Tourney in the first place, but I remember it was an interesting tale.
Perhaps another gentle can retell it here....

Imho, the winner of the tourney was never so important at this particular
event as the courtesy winner, that being the main point, as I recall. I don't
remember the year, but I'm sure Jacques the Jovial won the courtesy prize at
least once.

I'faith-need you ask??? Sir TJ, of course!!! Why? If you must ask, you've
not tried it, or at least not enough of it! It delights the eye, thrills the
palate, and warms the soul- need I say more? Fair warning- never eat it on an
empty stomache. I did at my first Diamond Joust some <x> years ago, and was
a bit 'cheerful' the rest of the event. I felt not a thing when some dancing
lord stepped on my toes...

Like Ice Axe, Emerald Joust attracts many old timers who are not seen often at
other events...I believe I'll go this year myself.
Shalom!
