	Milords & Ladies,
	Good Gentles All!

I wish to congratulate all who participated in, and helped create
the Sacred Stone Novice Tourney this weekend (May 10-12). I've been to a
few tourneys before, but this one was by far the finest example of what
we strive for in SCA events.

Attendees were greeted in a friendly, helpful way and areas of the
event were pointed out before folks were sent on their way.

There were activities for the smalls to keep them occupied.

New events were posted and all were informed and welcomed to attend.

The court was short, and FUN! <grin>, and, of course, was made that
much better when we were graced by our illustrious Queen of Atlantia.

The welcome and recognition shown to newbies was great and the level
of friendliness and help given to each was amazing.

And the feast... Good heavens! I've never seen so much FOOD!
There were only two repasts, but each consisted of HUGE portions that one
hated to pass up because they were so GOOD, but just couldn't eat because
there was just SO MUCH! Wow! A grand "Hizah!" to the cooks who spent
all day in the kitchen preparing such a wonderful repast!

And finally, the musicians. Sacred Stone is blessed with a wide
assortment of musicians who are exceptionally tallented, and, thank
heavens, not too shy to bless us with their gift. Those at the feast
were entertained constantly throughout the evening by these wonderful
individuals. I wish more of our Baronies had folks like 'em.

I can't express enough my admiration for this group. If we all
could strive to show the level of absolute >friendliness< and complete
>fun< these individuals displayed at their funtion (even at Court!), I'm
sure the SCA would be even more fun and less intimidating to newcomers
than it is today.

	Yours In Service,

	Kimberly
a.k.a. - one stuffed Tyger Cub!
