University classes

To the patrons of the Merry Rose, greetings from Lady Celynen of
Stow-on-the-Wold.

I will be teaching a class on tambour embroidery. This is a technique
of Arabic origen and is worked with a hook rather than a needle. The
result is a rapid way to achieve chain-stitch embroidery. I need to
buy supplies in advance and would like to get a rough head count. If
you would prefer to bring your own materials and avoid the $3 materials
fee, please do so.

You will need: a small embroidery hoop
    --a size 10 crochet hook
--crochet thread (small enough to fit completely within the well of
the hook)
--12-16 count aida cloth or, if you can find it, the canvas used
for making hooked rugs is excellent for learning purposes

See you Saturday,
Celynen
