The blazon, I think, is gules, a gout argent, a fleam gout (that is, a red 
background bearing a silver drop on which a fleam (which is a medieval 
bloodletting device shaped exactly like an upside-down italic "2") in red is 
superimposed.  The baldric is red (with edging depending on the guild rank 
of the individual).

Who's your new chirurgeon?  If you'll get in touch with me directly, I may 
have a spare "loaner baldric" until you get the fancy new one fixed up.

I know it's something called a "fleem," which I imagine is shaped like a
pruning hook or sickle, but I'm unsure of colors and I might be totally off
the mark.  I'm making a baldric for a friend before Pennsic, so I need to
know how to proceed.

Can anyone help?
