I must apologize for not speaking clearing.
When I said, "And yet it happened," I did not mean it to
be a response to assassination per se, although, in
retrospect I see that it certainly look like that.

I meant it to be a response to the statement,

"I've not read that anyone even suggested outlawing anyone,"

in light of the fact that someone had earlierly posted,

"assassins had been outlawed by the Crowns of Atlantia."

My response was an allusion to a character that Jon Lovitz
played on "Saturday Night Live":

  "I was just talking to my wife, uh, Morgan Fairchild!
   Yeah, that's the ticket!  Morgan Fairchild."

"I didn't hear anything about Morgan Fairchild getting married."

  "And yet it happened."

Again, I regret the confusion.
