I think I'll have to back Alfredo on this. Earl Dafydd, as King,
effectivily outlawed the guild down in Tidewater. And His Excellency
seems to be in favor of outlawing UBAG. That seems to be outlawing a
group of people, not an activity.

As for the appropriateness of this activity, I rather think it is not,
for the usual Scadian events. However, I have been to events where
assasinations were part of the activities, and you didn't even have to
agree to be a target to be victimized. That was a decision made by the
autocrat, and frankly, I think the autocrat, and the seneschal who
appoints them (on advice of their populace, if they have any sense) are
the ONLY people to be defining the game, for that Event.

I think people are just too damn quick to try to narrow the definitions
of the Game. UBAG should accept the fact that they will probably never
be rewarded by the Crown for assasinating someone. That doesn't mean
they can't fit their game into a few select events, with the premission
of the autocrat, and with a warning posted to the possible attendees that
such activities will be taking place.

As long as we reward the activities which enhance our game, we can suffer
the ones which divert it a little. It is only when we fail to reward
positive activities that negative ones, such as UBAG's assassination
game, become debilitating to the Kingdom.
