Corun, perhaps Alanna is mentally incorporating the usual hand-gestures that
accompany the rhyme (which involve playing with children's toes, usually
after they've washed their feet, and which usually go from biggest to
smallest toe. Thus, the last little pig is the "littlest piggie" to the
child).
