                                Camelot Faire II:
Post-Pennsic Fighting Practice and Arts and Sciences Day
                                Barony of Caer Mear
                                October 26th, 1996

Yes, we're doing it again! Last year's Camelot Faire demo was such
a success and so much fun we've been asked to repeat it this year.

Come to a **FREE** event! Caer Mear will hold a demonstration of
Heavy weapons and Rapier fighting, Medieval Arts, Sciences, Crafts, Games,
Music, Dancing and Play. This is a fundraiser for the Hanover County Board
of Mental Health. Last year there were over 1700 people in attendance! (in
105 degree heat!) The site is again Poor Farm Park in Ashland, Virginia -
25 miles north of Richmond.

Artisans and craftpersons: come show your skills to a most
appreciative audience. Spinners, weavers, singers, dancers, gamers,
illuminators, wood carvers, leatherworkers, lacemakers, seamsters, metal
workers, jewelers, and more! We need your help.

Merchants are encouraged to come and sell their wares (and make some
on site). There is no charge to set up a merchant space. We are
encouraging families to attend in large numbers. Last year items for
children sold well. Please contact the Autocrat and tell her if you plan to
merchant.

If you plan to arrive Friday night, you must contact the Autocrat.
Camping on site is not allowed without special permission. Crash space is
available.

There will be no feast, though there will probably be local Fire and
Rescue Squads manning food booths. There are restaurants nearby in Ashland,
or you can bring your own picnic. After the demo, we will ajourn to a local
restaurant to celebrate a successful and fun demo!.

Everyone had tons of fun last year. Caer Mear was blessed and
grateful for all the help other groups in the area gave us. Please come
again this year and have even MORE fun!!!

Site opens at Dawn. The demo starts at 9:30 am. Site closes at
dusk. THIS IS A DRY SITE.
