The following questionnaire has been updated from the 11/7/96 version, 
based on the 4 (count 'em!)
responses I've received thus far:

Unto the Patrons of the Merry Rose, Greetings.

I am seeking assistance with a project at which I'll be chipping away (to 
give my mind an occasional diversion from Weightier Matters).  Anyway, if 
you're interested in adding your two cents, here are some questions for 
you:

[1]  List all the dances that you could teach if given advance notice.

[2]  List your favorite dances and tell what you like about them.

[3]  List your least favorite dances and tell what you dislike about 
them.

[4]  List any dances that you've been dying to learn.

[5]  Can you recommend any good *danceable* recorded music for specific 
dances?  Give the group,
       the album title, the selection number andtitle, and comments.

[6]  Describe the best SCA dancing experience(s) you've had.  If you can, 
include event names, dance        masters, music, (live/recorded) dances, 
decorations, theme, lighting and atmosphere, etc.

[7]  Describe the worst SCA dancing evperience(s) you've had.  Same as 
#6, only with names and                locations withheld to protect the 
innocent, etc.

[8]  What changes would you suggest to improve the quality of the SCA 
dancing experience for you?

[9]  Is there a regular dance practice in your area?  Give the group, 
location, and dance director if                   possible.

[10]  In there isn't a regular practice, would you be interested in 
attending one?

[11]  How often?

[12]  If you were called to put on a really cool dance event, what neat 
ideas would you try (let's assume           that you had lots of free 
time and an endless supply of willing hands, etc.).  Lots of detail, 
please.  

[13]  If you are a dance teacher, what would it take to entice you to 
visit a group to teach for a day or                  evening?  (Give 
preferred days/times, mileage radius, accomodations, facilities, 
equipment, 
          length of advance notice, etc.)  Where are you from? (SCA & 
Modern location)

[14]    If you are a dance musician, what would it take to entice you to 
visit a group to play for a day or                 evening?  (Give 
preferred days/times, mileage radius, accomodations, facilities, 
equipment,                    length of advance notice, etc.)  Where are 
you from?  (SCA & modern location) What instrument             do you 
play?

[15]  Soapbox time:  Is there anything that you would like to add to the 
above?
