Probably, but because we are talking about a poisonous look-alike with
which I am largely unfamilar, I won't say that you should look for the
purple bit and then start eating.  I have eaten QAL and I have no
trouble identifing it, HOWEVER, I intended the information as only a
historical curiousity.
