Not only has this already been cried a good half-dozen times on the Merry
Rose, it's something you should NOT respond to.

"The Golden Rule of the network should be
'Don't do anything yourself if everybody doing it would be ruinous.'"

The Houghton Mifflin scheme was announced by a department without
consulting with their networking people. Last I'd heard their email
server was completely choked, even despite emergency upgrades.
They'd already received over 100k pieces of email, which, if you
stop and think about it, is an awful lot.
