Well, since you ask...

* Door prizes for people who attend court
As the gentles file into the courtroom, hand each a
card with a unique word written upon it (such as
"seneschal" or "wlonk"). At various times in the
court, an award recipient will draw one of the words
from a hat, and the holder of the corresponding card
will be called into court and given some gewgaw.

* Since so many people have mentioned the special joy
of seeing the faces of the award-recipients, arrange
for them to be facing the populace.

The individual who finds court boring can also take
steps to make it personally more interesting.

* Take a small toy or game with you.

* Bring a six-foot-span folding fan, and use it to
keep the air from getting stuffy.

* If you're among a group of people so far back that
none of you can hear any of the court business, assign
yourselves roles for dubbing in your best guesses of
  what's being said.

* Plan to interrupt court by doing something like
sneaking behind the arras to pinch Her Majesty's
posterior. Mind you, you shouldn't carry out your
plans, but simply contemplating the resulting
actions will get your blood moving.
