Thanks, saved me from having to get into all that detail. One more comment
that I don't think was mentioned in the posting pertains to the idea that
Vestia was the patron of the Vestal Virgians in Rome, and with the Vestals
resided Rome's luck. Defilement of a vestal was thought to mean catastrophy
for the entire city of Rome. When catastrophies did fall, they often looked
for which virgin wasn't anymore.
