A convention of interest to some...

Poster: Dick Eney <dickeney@access.digex.net>

I know that some SCA folk are interested in these topics, though it isn't
a Society event...

ECUMENICON is coming up next month! April 18 to 20, at the
Ramada Inn, New Carrolton, Maryland, just off the Washington
Beltway.

Over 30 workshop/class sessions on a whole flock of faith
traditions: Wicca, Celtic and Mystic Christianity, the Fairy
Faith, Voudon, and Norse Craft. (_Not_ the same as Asatru.)
Music by KIVA and Jallen Rix.

Teachers include Lady Arwen, Charles Butler, Lady Circe, Ivo
Dominguez, Kathleen Egbert, Rhomylly Forbes, Nancy Hanger, Sharon
Henderson, Mira Kofkin, Doreen Motheral, Lord Orion, the
Shephard-Siples family, and A Company of Strangers.

Classes/workshops include Malkuth to Kether, Kether to Malkuth;
Labyrinth Walk; The Wise Woman; The Cunning Man; Wooing Play;
Native American Prophecy; Syncretic Ritual; Culdee & Celtic
Christianity; The Summer Stars; Sacred Musicians; The Sacred
Village; Stone Working; The Clown as Healer; Castle Arianrhod;
and Antique Labyrinths. NOTE: Charles Butler, the organizer of
Ecumenicon, is trying something new this year: most of the
classes will be presented _twice_ -- so you'll miss as few as
possible due to conflicts.

Lady Arwen's Norse Working will be at 10:30 Saturday.

Registration $55 in advance, $60 at the door. (Children under 12
half price.) Write Ecumenicon Fellowship, Box 6006, Baltimore,
Md. 21231; for more information call Charles Butler at (301) 595-
7434. For hotel accomodations, call (301) 459-6700 (local) or 1-
800-228-2828. You can also book through Ecumenicon with your
registration -- $90/night for a single, $30 for each additional (the
rooms hold up to four). [Those of you who are used to crashing
at conventions can stop now and have your laugh out...]
