Re: the native American question

Dear and Most Gracious Lady,
>However - stop calling me "my lord!" Yes, the thingie at the top reads

My very humble apologies for the error. I tend to skip over signature
files, probably more than I should. I too share an account with my lady,
so I sympathize with your situation. I do assure you, however, that I
almost never make such an error when I meet gentles in person. ;-)
Regarding the issue of what was possible versus what we can prove (or
disprove), I offer only one further thought: it is virtually impossible to
prove a negative statement ("There were absolutely no Japanese visitors in
Padua on May 13, 1589? Prove it!). That is the part I regard a slippery
slope. Expanding beyond what we can document is sometimes a necessary
thing for expedience or to make the game more entertaining, but I always
tend toward caution in such things. I won't regard a Viking on the West
Coast as physically impossible, just unlikely, but welcome nonetheless.
Vampires, on the other hand....
Regarding the native American question, I think I've spoken my piece, so I
will now shut up.
Regards to you and the gentle cohabitant of your Internet account,
Findlaech mac Alasdair
