Actually, when Ponte Alto became a Canton with overt aspirations to Barony,
it had sufficient population and demographics to make a case for a
Principality itself. What was then left of Storvik likewise had the numbers
for a principality. I think there are a couple of mega-baronies that have
the numbers to support Kingdom status. Naaah, an upper limit would be
right silly...
