Rodent of Unusual Size could have existed in any time period, Just depend
on what size is normal IN OUR VIEW,  I myself see you normal rodent as
being no larger than a gunea pig.... But a friend from Illinoius once
showed my the picture of the 35 # rat that he shot after it killed his
30# tomcat...... Please correct me if I'm wrong but most gunea pigs don't
get larger that 5# and it is about the same for your normal 'lab' rat
(Pinky and the Brain types)  that rat was  7 times the weight of a normal
rodent.  I suppose that means unusual size is relative.......
