Things to do on the way to Pennsic
Poster: Tom Brady <tabrady@mindspring.com>
(I'm re-sending this since it hasn't shown up on the list, even though I
sent it yesterday.)
Greetings to all from a weary Duncan MacKinnon, who will be ready for
Pennsic around September, I think.
This missive came through on another mailing list I subscribe to, and
knowing that there are a few (ha!) people in the SCA interested in
SF/fantasy, thought y'all might be interested. It is reposted with the
author's permission.
Regards,
Duncan

>For those interested, Steven Brust is GOH at an SF convention here in
>Pittsburgh in a few weeks. It's August 8-10, which is the first official
>weekend of Pennsic (held less than one hour north of Pittsburgh), so if
>you're heading to war, you might consider a side trip or a Saturday
commute.

>According to the web page schedule, Brust's not actually scheduled to do
>much. I don't know why that is or whether it's really true, but it's a
>lovely little convention anyway, especially for those of you who actually
>read science fiction and fantasy. We have on the order of 50 guests --
>mostly authors, plus some artists and scientists -- including Kara Dalkey,
>John Barnes, John DeChancie, William Tenn, Joe Clifford Faust, Mary Turzillo,
>Charles Oberndorf, William H. Keith Jr., uh, and lots more but I don't know
>whick ones are important, so I'm just mentioning ones I've read or heard of
>or had fun hanging out with at past Confluences....
