Another amusing anecdote about Assessment Battles I:  The whole idea of
declaring war on Storvik was really spur of the moment.  The idea had been
kicking around the Shire for a while (we had just become Barony a few months
earlier).  At the Coronation of Richard I, Baron Ismael, Dirik Reversen,
Karl der Kleinefusse, and a few other BD'ers hastily scribed a declaration
of war and had it read at the Coronation feast.  Why the rush?  Well, with
Richard on the throne, we wanted to do it with a Storviki on the throne, and
we had no idea when there would be another Storviki to win Crown!

(For those who don't know, Richard I began a five year period of Storviki
kings, with the exception of two reigns of King Olaf.)
