Hmm, yes, well, smoking at the list field is supposedly banned as well,
yet I must admit (I hang my head in shame) I have a much cherised
photograph (gasp!) of a kingdom notable at a Crown Tourney smoking while
he waited for his next turn. If you look closely you can see a thin line
of white smoke issuing from his lips.

And, although I am 'pro-persona' (if you follow my meaning), I did agree
with the post that sited the poem about the blacksmith. After all, what
did people do when sitting around campfires in the Middle Ages? Talked
about work, probably, or who was sleeping with whom, etc. Mundane sorts
of things. So I can usually stifle my irritation when I hear so much
modern talk going on around me...but I still stand by an earlier statement
of mine that if I hear one more conversation about how many email messages
someone got I'll scream! I mean, there are ways to limit modern
intrusions without being COMPLETELY exclusionary.
