Your own bow in a day

Poster: "Robert Skidmore" <bobalink@southconn.com>

Greetings to the good people of Atlantia from Ld. Robert the Forgotten,

My lords and Ladies, though my schedule has kept me within my own borders
I have not been idle. For those who are interested there will be a bow
making workshop during the Feast of St. Godiva May 22-24. I have been in
contact with with some excellent bowyers who are willing to hands on teach
you how to make an English longbow from a simple stave of hickory. By the
end of the day you will be the proud maker of such a bow along with Flemish
bowstring and caretaker of the knowledge to do it again (practice makes
perfect). I am still working on getting a crossbow making class at the same
time but the details are being worked out. The one thing that is required
of anyone interested is a solid commitment for the class to include advance
purchase of your stave of seasoned hickory. I have spoken extensively with
and visited these bowyers and this will be a unique and valuable
opportunity for us all. Please, let me know of your interest and questions.

						In Service to All,
						Ld. Robert the Forgotten
