Here is yet another source for rattan.  Bamboo and Rattan Work, Inc. 
Lakewood, NJ. (732) 370-0220.  They charge $17.95 for a 9 foot stick, and
if you purchase in bales of 40 they give you a 25% discount.  I
personally make the drive, but I understand they will ship as well.  They
will also take special orders for whatever you want.  If they don't have
it in stock, they will usually have it in 2-3 months (it comes on a slow
boat from china).

Incidently, if anyone is truly rattan deprived and is planning on being
at Stierbach's Elevation this weekend, let me know.  I have about 20
sticks right now, that I could sell.  I'd be happy to bring them to the
event .
