Upon reviewing the History Channel listings for the next 6 weeks at:

http://www.historychannel.com/listings/

I happened to notice that at the end of next month a new series will
be coming on called ARMS IN ACTION. These are evidently produced in
cooperation with the Royal Armouries and the Tower of London.

On Monday 7-27 Slings and Spears 9-10 pm and 1-2 am
   Tuesday 7-28 Castles and Sieges " " "
   Wednesday 7-29 The Sword " " "
   Thursday 7-30 Mail and Plate Armour " " "
   Friday 7-31 First Firearms " " "

Apart from reruns, like the excellent Birth of Europe series which
will run multiple times in the coming weeks (go to the website).
The second in the series illustrates some period metalworking and
casting by the way - Birth of Europe, Age of Bronze.

For the woodworkers amongst us:
Sunday 6-21 6-7am and 8-9am will have a program that will feature
two historic sites, one of which will include the Art of Furniture
Making. Probably out of period, but then again a mortise and tenon
goes back a long way. Vikings however didn't do dovetails. ;)

Jamestown, Va. excavations, the fort discovered.
   Sunday 6-28 11pm-12m, 3-4am

Shakespeare, Bard of Statford
   Sunday 6-28 11-12am.

On Friday 7-3 there will be an all day series of programs on famous
ships starting at 10am and going to 8pm. In order: Clippers,
Destroyers, Whalers, Dreadnoughts, Tugboats, Battleships, Ships
of the Line (4-5pm), Aircraft Carriers, Ocean Liners, PT Boats.

William the Conqueror Saturday 7-11 11am-12N.

First Emperor of China Sunday 7-12 11am-12N
If this is what I saw a while back it is most excellent and
consists of movie quality reenactment in period costume and sets.

Battle of the Clans - Two centuries of fighting Highlanders.
   Sunday 7-12 9-11pm, 1-3am.
   Saturday 7-18 4-6 pm.

Port Royal, Jamaica 1655 (Pirates) Sunken City excavations
Friday 7-17 8-9 pm Most likely one of two reruns.

Caesar's Gallic Wars
   Saturday 7-25 11am-N
