Well, I already yammered on earlier. Somebody else'll have to expound
on what they saw. ;-)

Close. As far as I could tell, they had two crossbowmen (with those
nasty-looking golf-ball-tipped Eastern bolts) and our former Archery
Marshal, who was, as expected, damned hard to hit. :-)

> What happened at court?

I don't follow court as much as I probably should, but it was very
nice, and fairly short. And, amazingly enough, it started on time --
almost to the second, I'd wager. Over half the populace hadn't even
gotten into the hall when the heralds began. ;-) Kind of a refreshing
change after seeing so many things start on "scadian time". The
royalty of the Kingdom of Acre was also there, which was very nice.

> How about some "no shit I was there..." stories.

Well, I already sent a missive about my views on the fabulously-fun
Crusade, but here's one of my most humorous stories from the event...

Early in one of the field battles, a fighter from Bhakail broke through
our line, and as I was the closest archer, he started running me down,
crying "archer, you're dead, archer you're dead" although he was a good
five to ten feet behind me. All the time he was hounding me, I was
skitterign along as fast as my legs would carry me, crying out
"Touch-kill! Archers are touch-kill only!"

In a move reminiscent of saturday morning cartoons, we both stopped in
unison. He cocked his head to one side, and said "You mean I gotta
touch you?" I said "Yeah," and then, as if on cue, we both started
running again. :-)

> I had to stay home and study for an exam I'm taking this morning :-(

Sorry you had to miss it, but I hope you do/did well on your exam! ;-)
