Flummery?

Poster: hank harwell <web7989@charweb.org>

In reading through a translation of "The Rule of Tallaght", an early
Irish monastic rule, I ran across a dish called "flummery." I have no
idea what it is, but all my research indicates that flummery is a sweet,
like pudding or custard made from fruitor berries. However, the
translation indicates that it was made of bread and not "dry eggs", with
a poultry or meat base.

Any leads on what this is would be greatly appreciated!
