The Aluminum alternative to wooden shields

Poster: "Garrett, William" <WGarrett@sierrahealth.com>

Usually I'm pretty stuffy on the topic of using modern materials for armor
and whatnot.
However after having 5 wooden shields turned to mulch in a four month period
(Anyone here know of Sir Valeron do Pico from Western Seas?) the last one
being 3 days before Estrella, I decided to buy an Aluminum shield.

That was five years ago.

had to restrap it once, and the edging needs replacing from time to
time....needs it now actually.
And I've repainted it periodically.

But other than that, no fuss no muss.

Lord William Ringlancer of Locksley.

Who is trying to make his rig as period as possible, but will keep his
Aluminum shield.
