Which just makes completely clear how much certain parts of this are
responsive to political leverage, since "leather clothing" that may suggest
this or that reprehensible thought to your average seneschal could easily
also be period, while cabaret-style bellydancing outfits (and I speak as one
who owns them) are "documentable" to within this century.
