I had to research this for a feast once.....chocolate is period.  That is
to say, pronounce that with a Spanish accent.  It is a hot drink in which
chocolate (the bitter cocoa), orange juice, and cinnamon are combined.
There are a few varieties of it that include other spices, but those are
the ingredients which remain constant in the recipes I have seen.  It's
actually quite good.
