The one place I haven't heard mentioned is WSW in Sanford.
Not great prices but not bad and you can get anything you want.
I'm talkin' Alice's Restaurant here!  I have bought silk brocade there
for 3.49 a yard on the remnant table.  3 yards at 60" wide will make 
some serious garb.  Several weeks ago I got some great linen and my 
Lady bought some beautiful purple silk.
