History Channel show

Pardon Good Gentles

I did not see the show Thursday about armor on the History channel (too cheap
to get all the cable channels), but I did hear a bit about the show from a
non-scadian friend.

One thing that my friend told me that sounded intriguing was that the armor of
many fallen soldiers from one battlefield showed damage to the back of the
head. My friend said that the historians seemed to be puzzled by this. Can
anyone who watched the show shed a little light? Could this be some sort of
possibility of period use of the "wrap" shot that we use but that I have been
told isn't documented?

If I have gotten all of this wrong please let me know and I will flay myself
to death with a wet noodle.
