Is this weird, or what?

Poster: Karen Marsh-Lovvorn <marshk@ipas.org>

Being of an inquisitive mind, I got to looking at parallels between the
name site and musings that come to me at 3:00 a.m. when I'm trying to
sleep (I can't help it - I'm cursed with a creative - and often
overactive - mind, & what else am I going to do at 3:00 a.m.?) :-)

I compared the name description in the "What's in a Name" site with my
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and cross-referenced that with my
sun/moon signs (aka horoscope), which resulted in a strong correlation
between the description of my real first name description and my
personality type under Myers-Briggs, while my real middle name closely
matches the descriptions under my sun/moon signs. Of course I couldn't
leave that well enough alone and being one of those people who HAS to
look for patterns in things (I'm convinced that if I'd been alive a
thousand or so years ago they wouldn't have known what else to do with
me but send me to live with the druids), I have to ask: does anyone else
think this is weird enough to try for themselves?

Myers-Briggs tests, charts, instructions are available on the web, as
are numerous horoscope sites. Unfortunately, I can't provide urls right
now because my Netscape has been down for a couple hours, but they can
be found by doing net searches.

FYI: For those who aren't familiar with the Myers-Briggs Type
Indicator, it's a psychological test widely used to identify
personality/temperament characteristics/traits. It is similar to the
Kersey Temperament Indicator and you get the same results either way.
