Since this thread has been going on, I thought I would share a bit
about
the origin of the Red Belt.

Long ago in a kingdom far away..

Yea, I meant to say it that way. Acually it was in Atenveldt something
close to the beginnings of the Kingdom. There existed a knight named
John
of Whitewolf. His device is red and white so he wore (and still does)
red
and white. He decided at one point he wanted to give something to his
squires to differentiate them from other squires. So, he gave them
all red
belts.  Ohters thought that was way cool and gave their squires red
belts.

Thus a tradition was born.
