As far as I am aware, guilds are the equivalent of households -- i.e.,
"unoffical" groups, and as such, have fun and run with it. If you want
to register the name of your Guild, however, it'll still have to meet
the (admitadely less-well-defined) heraldic requirements for being a
registerable household. As an example, many guilds in period were
referred to as "The Worshipful Company of Frabblenappers," or whatever
things your guild would be doing.
