An excellent point, your Grace.
However (on a completely different subject), it does not address another
reason why some (including myself) do not do heavy weapons fighting. And
that is because it is one of the more expensive parts of our hobby. To be
sure, this is not a complaint or idle lament on my part. I realize that
the economics of the situation will not change because I wish it so. The
materials that go into armor do not come at 1.99/yard and never will.
Instead, I am seeking knowledge to help me overcome the hurdle of
presently limited resources. So good gentles, has anyone tips on how to
inexpensively acquire materials for making armor and/or how to purchase
armor on the cheap? Are there certain materials that have a better
cost-protection ratio? (I'm not sure I could ever qualify as a rhino.)
If this topic gets a *quarter* the thread response that Gryffi's post did,
I think that I and those like me in Atlantia will be very glad of the
information.
In gratitude,
William of Rencester
