An addition: Both are also retired landed Barons, my predecessor and
successor, in fact.

I recall the response to the officer's query of what they did with the duct
tape being "We use it to fix stuff," and I thought it was Dirik who said it.
 I don't remember the bit about the paint pigments.   As I recall, they were
worried about being charged with transporting duct tape accross state lines.
