Greetings!  I must tell you that when I joined the SCA I was sure that there
were no men who were trustworthy or honest and firmly believed that chiv was
dead!  (Dating too many jerks!)  I was amazed and mistrustful of the kindness
and actions of the men in the SCA that I met.   I must say that my dear husband
had to work very hard, but was able to make me realize that all men are not
scum and in the SCA, a great majority of the men are honorable and worthy of my
trust and affection.  I to have said 'no thank you"  when asked if I needed
help, and I agree that it is mundane living that has made me say this!  I
suppose we will all try harder in the future.  Kari Kyst
