Eogan asked why there is little regalia for laurels. 

There is some spiffy regalia out there for the laurels too.  This
includes not only a cloak but a coronet of laurel leaves (real or fake
leaves are used though I know some people in the East who have really
cool
brass or silver laurel coronets).  Some peers are also sporting livery
collars with A's ending with the mediallion of the order of choice.  Of
course anyone can wear 
a livery collar made of any letter (and most symbols)  regardless of
rank.  Just the type of medallion is reserved.
