Need advice on web groups!

Hail all gentles of Atlantia and beyond = )

I am a member of a wonderful online community known as SixDegrees 
(sales pitch!!). I host a group for my Barony (Barony of Black 
Diamond, yay!!), am a member of the SCA (general, no particular area) 
group, and was wanting to start up a group for Atlantia (I couldn't 
find one there). I emailed chronicler@atlantia.sca.org and I'm not 
sure if it got through or whatever, but I haven't heard a response, 
sooo...

I'm mainly wondering if it's okay for me to start up an Atlantia 
group, or if I have to go through legalities and such? I was thinking 
about opening a group and writing out a disclaimer since I haven't 
heard anything. Just want to make sure I'm not stepping on any toes  
= )

Any advice would be helpful = )
