RE: an early-morning smile

Onions come in brown, white, yellow & red.  Red onions are more of a
purplish-red, actually, and have higher concentrations of whatever
onions have that make you "cry," making them more likely to "bring a
tear."   Unfortunately, I'm not an "onionologist", so I don't know which
strain(s) might have been around during the 11th century.  Does anyone?
